Do you want to grow your own food organically? Are you overwhelmed with information and need hands-on experience? If so, Tricycle Gardens can help!
Our highly trained staff will come to your home to help you design and install your new garden beds with ease. With education and training you will experience the joys of organic methods of growing vegetables, composting, creating your soil, seed saving, the techniques of raised beds, companion planting, crop rotation, cold frames to maximize your harvest and more!
Kitchen Gardens Builders will work with you throughout the year so you will have the knowledge and confidence needed to be a successful “backyard gardener”. For more information or to schedule an appointment, contact Josh Schweizer, Farm Manager, at josh@tricyclegardens.org
Tricycle Gardens promotes the use of heirloom seeds and varieties of plants suited for this region. Some crops we will directly seed into your beds while others will be started for you in our greenhouse, while others you may prefer to buy. By extending the spring and fall seasons with the use of cold frames you will eat salad all year long. And oh the summer vegetables you will grow! Check out the possibilities…various types of arugula, spinach, lettuce, broccoli, kohlrabi, collards, chard, peas, onions, radishes, kale, beets, carrots, edible flowers, the bean family, the tomato family, okra, a variety of peppers, summer squash, zucchini, eggplant, cucumbers, potatoes, winter squash, and culinary herbs such as basil, oregano, thyme, lemongrass, garlic, rosemary, parsley, chives, lavender, cilantro, mint(s), catnip
